Petition to have Corpus Christi moved back to Thursday |

In 1996 in Ireland the Solemnity of Corpus Christi was moved from its traditional day of Thursday as a Holy Day of Obligation to the following Sunday (along with Ascension Thursday) where they disappeared into oblivion with the same value as Communications Sunday. Wouldn't it be a great idea to restore Corpus Christi as a proper Holy Day of Obligation in preparation for the Eucharistic Congress in Dublin in 2012? |
