“The European Union is an integral dimension of our national life and governance. The European Parliament is the voice of the citizens in its decision-making processes. It is the right and responsibility of every citizen to shape it.”
More sterling advice from the Forum for Europe?
Well no. It seems in the midst of the chaos the episcopal conference is
concerned that people aren't voting. Bad enough that we voted against Lisbon but when it comes to the EP we often don't vote at all. And that is a sin.
A sin? Surely not? Well it seems that voting is a “concrete way of fulfilling the Gospel challenge to serve our neighbour” so presumably not voting is the opposite.
